Cosmetic Dentistry

Who doesn’t want perfect pearly whites? While there are some lucky people who have naturally flawless smiles, anyone can get a dazzling smile with attentive care from one of Celebrity Healthcare's experienced cosmetic dentists.

Cosmetic Dental Treatments

Cosmetic dentistry is one of our specialities here at Celebrity Dental. Our state-of-the-art facilities in Dallas and Fort Worth will provide you more than just a pretty smile. Recent advances in dental materials and techniques offer practically perfect teeth that are virtually as strong as the originals.

From repairing chips or rough spots with fillings that match the look and feel of your teeth, to reshaping or concealing damaged teeth with veneers or crowns and closing gaps between teeth with dental bonding, we have a wide variety of cosmetic solutions for your smile. Now we will give an overview of a few of these treatments for you below, while others can be found on our general dentistry page.

Veneers are thin, porcelain shells that are bonded directly to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are a cosmetic restoration treatment that is used to correct spaces between teeth, cover chipped teeth, shape small or misshapen teeth, and provide a whiter surface for stained or discolored teeth. Veneers can last up to 15 years!

Because veneers are custom-made, they require two appointments to place. At the first appointment, the teeth are slightly reduced and shaped to prepare them for the veneer. A local anesthetic may be used prior to this shaping. Then, an impression is made of the prepared teeth and a mold is sent to the dental lab. Temporary veneers are placed on the prepared teeth until the permanent veneers are ready.

When the dental lab has finished creating the veneers, they are placed onto the prepared teeth using a strong dental adhesive. A high-intensity light is used to set the adhesive and permanently bond the veneers to the teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Even if your teeth are healthy, evenly spaced and attractively shaped, you might still be dissatisfied with the color of your smile. If you consistently drink coffee, tea, soda or red wine, and eat darker foods like blueberries and blackberries, you might notice some stains on your teeth or an overall yellow coloration to your smile. You might have even taken certain medication that has discolored your teeth, taking away their shine and leaving a grey tint behind.

Here at Celebrity Dental, we have some good news for you! Professional bleaching can diminish those stains and fight that discoloration to make your teeth whiter and brighter than they have been in a long time. While you could try natural whitening remedies at home, professional in-office teeth whitening has proven to be more effective and lasts longer. We can also provide you with professionally approved tray bleaching products.

Why Choose Cosmetic Dentistry?

The term cosmetic may make certain dental procedures sound less than necessary or like an optional add-on to your general dentistry work. While cosmetic procedures do improve the appearance of your smile, that is certainly not all they do.

Cosmetic procedures that repair cavities with fillings or improve the shape and spacing of your smile with bonding can actually make your teeth easier to clean and more durable in the long run. Obtaining a beautiful, healthy smile with other cosmetic dentistry treatments like whitening and veneers might give you more self-confidence and prompt you to go out and meet new people and pursue exciting career opportunities.
